2008_australia.jpg At the opening race of what is its third season the BMW Sauber team achieved its best ever qualifying result to date. In Melbourne Robert Kubica qualified in second position. Nick Heidfeld finished fifth in the expected breathtaking first battle of the year.

kubica_86.jpgThe BMW Sauber team scored two points in an action packed Chinese Grand Prix. Nick Heidfeld finished seventh after a double pitstop mid-race as a result of taking a second set of intermediates, rather than slicks. Robert Kubica retired on lap 34 while leading due to a hydraulic leak.

kubica_85.jpgFelipe Massa says the stewards were wrong to penalise Robert Kubica last Sunday but not Lewis Hamilton.

BMW Sauber’s Kubica at Fuji Speedway was given a drive-through penalty for tagging Hamilton while trying to pass for position, but Hamilton - a week later in the Shanghai paddock - was given the all-clear for driving erratically behind the safety car.
